“Throughout my teens and twenties I was on
and off diets all the time - yet overall kept on
gaining weight. I was miserable and obsessed
with food, and how my body looked in the
mirror. I was caught in a downward spiral of
self criticism , and it affected everything else
in my life.
Now I have a great relationship with food, and
with my body, and enjoy being free of that
awful polarity to either eat or starve.
When I found Julia Buckroyd’s well researched
programme to free people from compulsive
eating, I saw that her way of understanding
eating was almost identical to what had
worked for me. I decided to train immediately
as a course leader under her supervision.
I am a qualified leader within the
Understanding Your Eating team. I run courses
ongoingly in North Herts, Beds and Bucks.
